FAWUZ Stands in Solidarity with Norin Betani's Family: A Gesture of Support in Grief
This afternoon, the compassionate team from the Footballers and Allied Workers Union Of Zambia (FAWUZ), led by General Secretary Mr. Joe Kaunda, made a poignant visit to convey their deepest condolences to the grieving family and mourners of the late Copper Queens and Indeni Roses FC Striker, Norin Betani.
Mr Kaunda has described the death of Copper Queens and Indeni Roses player Norin Betani on Tuesday as a huge loss to football in the country. In a message of condolence to the family at the funeral house in Lusaka's Garden House area, Kaunda said FAWUZ as a union representing the welfare of players will stand with the family, the club and the football fraternity in this time of loss. "Norin had great potential which is why she was called to the national team picked to face Ghana. But sadly we have lost her and we mourn with the family and the nation on the loss of our player," Kaunda said.
In a heartfelt expression of solidarity, the FAWUZ Secretariat not only offered words of comfort to the parents of the late but also extended a helping hand during this trying time. Understanding the immense pain and sorrow that accompanies such a loss, FAWUZ provided assistance towards the funeral arrangements, aiming to alleviate some of the burdens faced by the bereaved family. Let us join hands in remembering Norin Betani's contributions to the beautiful game and in supporting her family during this difficult period.
May Norin Betani's soul rest in eternal peace.
