The Footballers and Allied Workers Union of Zambia sent a delegation to the FIFpro Division Africa Congress in Gaborone, Botswana. The delegation includes Mr. Sandras Kumwenda as President, Mr. Joe Kaunda as General Secretary, and Mr. James Chamanga, a 2012 AFCON winner and Red Arrows striker.

The aim of FAWUZ is to protect, improve and negotiate the conditions, rights and status of players and allied workers. Zambia joins other nations in SADC such as South Africa,Botswana,Zimbabwe and Namibia to form a soccer players union. These unions have been formed across Africa and throughout the world.
