FAWUZ 2020 Annual General Meeting

FAWUZ had a successful Annual General Meeting at which Guest of honour the Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development Hon. Emmanuel Mulenga through his representative Acting General Secretary of National Sports Council of Zambia emphasized Government's support to FAWUZ because of the the great work FAWUZ has done since its formation especially since during the formation of the Union it was received with mixed feelings because it was something alien. He said in Zambia football in the past was not regarded as Employment unlike other country.
Mr. Mulenga further encouraged FAWUZ to educate its members on a financial literacy to avoid the common trend of destitution after the retirement of player.
The introduction of the FAWUZ Professional Players Pension Fund was also welcomed by the players and the stakeholders invited. FAWUZ has partnered with Mukuba Pension Trust to manager the  Players Pension fund.
FAWUZ General Secretary stressed in his speech the cooperation between stakeholders and the sharing of resources especially the trickling of resources to the players who's careers are short.
