COPPER QUEENS TO GET HOME SEND OFF MATCH BEFORE DEPARTURE TO GERMANY CAMP
The FIFA World Cup bound Copper Queens will get a send off international friendly match on home soil prior to their departure for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup preparatory camp in Germany.
FAZ general secretary Reuben Kamanga said that apart from giving the Copper Queens adequate preparations for the ninth edition of the World Cup, the Association wants to give fans an opportunity to watch the team this month.
“Zambians will have an opportunity to send them (the Copper Queens) off in Lusaka. With the preparations being lined up, we are confident that they won’t disappoint. We are reinforcing the technical bench to make sure that when the Copper Queens go to the World Cup, they will not disappoint,” Kamanga said during Friday’s edition of the breakfast show on Hot FM.
So far, the Copper Queens have played seven high level friendlies with games against Republic of Ireland and Germany confirmed for 22 June and 7 July respectively.
